创客空间是筑桥与美国知名雕塑家 Douglas Borkman 共同打造的集设计、创意与交流于一体的教育体验空间，从教室设计、教具配置到教材内核，均体现了最前沿的教学理念。在这里，举凡木作、陶艺、精工、雕塑、玻璃吹制与铸造等手工艺术，皆可通过空间内的设施一一实现。
关于 Douglas Borkman
Douglas Borkman是知名的雕塑家，亦是世界顶尖的罗德岛设计学院教师，具有 25 年教学经历。他的专业涵盖了整合材料如木工、陶艺、金属加工、玻璃吹制和铸造等技艺，其艺术作品亦先后被 Katonah 博物馆及 RISD 博物馆收藏，并于北美多个知名画廊展出。
The Makers Space was jointly created by the Bridge and the famous American sculptor Douglas Borkman to be an educational experiential space that combines a focus on design, creativity and exchange. From the classroom design, to the teaching aids and core teaching materials, all elements of the space exemplify the most cutting-edge teaching philosophies. With its variety of materials and equipment, all kinds of handmade artworks can be crafted here including woodworks, ceramics, sculptures, glass blowing and casting.
Visitors entering the Makers Space, will likely note that it is an American-styled workshop full of a particular vintage industrial atmosphere and wooden-colored furnishings. Looking further around, visitors may notice the bare concrete columns and various precision metal instruments. Such an environment will guide students into the world of creation and inspire them to physically manifest their own artistic whims. Here, students can waken up from their busy city lives, fully stretch their abilities and help create an ideal form of life.

Douglas Borkman, who is a renowned sculptor and also a leading educator a teacher ffrom the world's-class leading Rhode Island School of Design, with more than 25 years of teaching experience. His professional areas of expertise field covers integrated the full set of handcraft materials includinge woodworking, potteryceramics, metalworking, glass blowing, and casting. His Mr. Borkman’s art has also been selected by the Katonah Museum and the RISD Museum for exhibition in several well-known galleries in North America.
